determining wether synchros are good or bad.....
I just pulled out my s1 tranny that locked up on me, and I pulled it apart. How can I tell if the synchros are good or bad? If they are good, I want to keep them for my new tranny in case those go bad.

You have to stick the synchro on the cone of the gear. You then measure the clearance between the bottom of the synchro and the top of the gear. If the clearance is too small, the synchro is bad. But if you are griding in that gear, you probably know anyway.
