Default dented oil pan

hey i just got my motor and the oil pan is dented what kind of problems would i get it is not dented badly but enought to make me fell bad

as long as its not creased, and just a little ping, u should be fairly safe, .. where is the dent, in the middle or on one of the sides or bends..

well if its in the middle, it shouldnt be to bad as long as its not hitting antyhing inside, if its to the point to where its creased, u may want to fix it, other then that if its just a surface indent or ding, u should be fine.

i repeat
P O U N D I T O U T!!!

mine was dented and caused my vtec not to work.
the oil pickup is in the middle of the pan. my oilpan was HITTING the pickup. i have pictures where it scratched the bottom of the pan.

I second that you shoukld definately check the pickup. My pan was dented also. Heres what the pick up looked like

i had a dented oil pan and it caused oil starvation which led to flat spotted ITR cams

mine was dented when i got it..i took off the pan to check the pick up and it was fine...so to be save we took a big hammer and a block of wood and hammered that **** out...good luck

i have stock b16 oil pans with no dents in them
60 bux ship'd
if u dented ur oil pickup i got those also
20 bux
