My buddie swapped a D16Z6 into a 89 CRX DX. The engine harness and ECU is from a 91 Si and the interior harness is from the same. He had good dibs on the harnesses and resistor box so he opted to buy them instead of converting the originals. Everything pretty much plugged in except for the DST which was rewired with the proper pigtail to match the D16Z6 DST and a few wires needed to be extended. Also a few pigtails under the dash needed to be swapped because of a different size connector but the wires matched up.
Well the car cranks and starts. It only runs for about 5 seconds and then dies. Any suggestions would be appreciated. It has fuel and spark. Has anyone used the interior harness before? Anything to look for? He has pretty much exhausted all possible things to check.
