d16z6 into a 89-89 civic/crx
Hey everyone... I was just curious to know how easy will a d16z6 (1.6 sohc vtec found in 92-95 civc ex/si) fit into a crx or the 89-91 civic hatch? Also, will there be enough clearance for a turbo set up? Im planning on putting my turbo d16 into a crx but I am trying to find out what difficulties, if any, I can expect. I know ill need axles, ecu but not sure if anything else. Will I have to redo all the wiring as well? Any help is appreciated... Thanks!

i would say you need some obd0 to obd1 wiring conversion and you'll need to wiring the vtec too and theres enough place for a turbo without a problem this engine is so small!

i'm about to do a d16z6 in my crx soon and i came up with a good solution to the tranny problem...imma swap the bell housing on the hydro to a cable bell housing from my tranny but still keep the hydro gearing that way i don't have to figure out wat to do to make the hydro work...and it's prettey much free, cuz i won't have to buy the hasport tranny kit...only thing is that i'll need to get a new cable cuz mine is worn out
