I have an auto 1997 civic hx that im converting to manual and swaping a d16z6 into. I was wondering what wiring harness i should use the y7 wiring harness and wire up vtec or use a y8 wiring harness. I will be be using a y8 intake manifold and the hx exhaust manifold. Also I was wondering if i will have a problem with the o2 sensor location because i think the y8 o2 sensors are in a different location than on the y5/7 exhaust manifold.

 

im just going to use my y7 harness, swap out the injector plugs to obd1/0 plugs, do the 2 wire IACV mod to the harness, grab a chipped OBD1 ecu, and a obd2a-obd1 jumper harness

oh, also get an IAT sensor/plug or rig up your Y7 IAT sensor to work if you are staying NA.

 

I need to make the car pass emmision so it has to work obd2 with no check engine light then im gonna convert it to obd1 so i can tune it.
