D16 for a B16....EASY?
has anyone done a b16 swap in a 96-00 EX? How easy would you say it is? I can do the basic **** (change tires, install intake, cat-back exhaust, change altonator...) If i had a Helms and a friend do you think that it is possible that i can do it myself instead of paying someone $950 to do it??? Does the ECU for the 00 SI plug right into the 00 EX?

Easy swap. You will need to purchase the 99-00 mounts for trans, rear mount t-bone, A/C mount, shift linkage (both rods), and the engine mount that bolts to the block on the drivers side. You can use the single cam alternator if you did not get one with the swap. The stock drivers side liquid filled mount that bolts to the chassis will work as well as the upper trans mount. The 99-00 ecu will plug right in. The engine will need to be a obd2 engine, because the 99-00 ecu looks for the crank speed fluctuation sensor on the oil pump. If you have an older engine(obd-0 or obd-1) it would be easier to purchase an adapter harness obd-2 to obd-1 and use a p30 obd-1 ecu. You would still use all of the 99-00 Si harware.

I did the B16A swap in my car and took my D15B7 out within a day... It's a fairly easy and simple swap... Its not worth paying $950 for. I never worked on a car really before I did the swap and it wasnt hard. But I also had a friend of mine help at the same time....
