hey guys i want to swap my head out on my non vtec for vtec and i was wondering what i would need to do this and how hard is it? thanks guys (yes i searched)

its very easy. the head from a z6 or y8 bolts on with no tapping or external oil line like on ls/crvtecs. you just have to decide how to activate vtec and which ecu to use. that will depend on if you go obd1 or stay obd0. there are alot of sites and stuff because i was thinking of doing the same until i got a whole z6 swap. i'll post again after i find the links. also if you have the hf you can't do the mini-me swap because the hf only has 2 valve relief cuts in it. the vtec heads have four.

Ok, can't find it. It's been explained to me about the internals, a VTEC block has oil splashers to properly function. It will work w/o the oil line, but not to it most potential. I'll still try to find all my other info.

hey d16z6 do greddy turbo kits work on a non vtec engine (d15b7)? or does anybody know if it does will the engine withstand at most 9 psi daily with internal parts? if not which parts need to be replaced? thnaks guys!!

all of the d series manifolds will bolt up. if you go obd 1 you need a conversion harness and ecu. ecu has to be p28, pr3 any vtec ecu except for gsr. i don't know about greddy turbo kits on the old d15b. still looking for the link for you. get back tomorrow.
