Default d15b vtec startup help!

hey guys. i've been in the process of installing a jdm d15b in my eg hatch and am just bout done. so i try to fire her up and nothing...soooo....i need suggestions.

here are the facts.

*battery was dead, but w/ jumpers everything comes to life *lights, etc*
*cel comes on, just a solid on...turns off w/ unplugged ecu. *doubt ecu fuse is the problem*
*one of the spark plug wires is a little fucked at the dizzy end. looks good enough to throw a spark though. gonna go to hmotors to pick up the new one they promised me.
*w/ jumpers, the ignition clicks. not sure bout the starter, but it and the tranny were good before i took them out of the car prior to the swap *car was running*

so that's where i'm at. i really need to get the car going, because it's on the street *don't ask
*, and it was broken into. so now i gotta get it somewhere quick to have the window fixed. thanks a million in advance on this one guys...

any questions bout the situation will be answered immediately. i need help here guys!!!

Get a closer look at the starter connection, there is a cos connector that is inside a little rubber groomet, it's the starter solenoid connector. make shure it's pluged up to the starter solenoid, need a solid connection.

Try also another ECU, you know that if you run the JDM d15b with a p28 ECU it will trow a HeatedO2 cell code, if you can grab another ECU and try it that would save you hassle.

Ground connection??

Have it cranking up and come back if there is more trouble.

thanks. imma work on the car tomorrow and i'll check out the starter, all thought i'm pretty sure it's hooked up. i am using a p28, so thanks for the heads up. i'm planning on running a four wire o2, so will that solve the issue? i'm using my stock wiring harness *both stock and new motors are obd1* and just ran the wires for the vtec myself (although i haven't connected them to the ecu yet. thanks in advance for the help.

btw, i'm planning to run the setup you have *jdm d15 turbo*...so i might be asking for advice...haha. thanks again

Well No prob's for the help later down the road for your turbo setup

Man I don't know what to think about your thing, you know if the starter is not turning up, you must solve that first. Look at the relay, look at the starter, the connection for the ground on the starter...
at this point I don't know, we will need's a little more info on the troubble to help you, seem's that your main relay is cliking, that sound's good.

thanks in advance! i've been at it w/ motors for a while...but fi is a new deal for me...appreciate it!

i'm pretty stumpted myself. relay seems good. grounds checked out. starter should be good...it worked on my old d15b7 before i pulled it out of the car a day before putting the d15 in...

i think imma pick up a new battery and starter and hope for the best. imma check the cel...but i don't think that's gonna be the issue right now...
