So I'm thinking to get some cheap hp's to do the D15B engine swap in my 98 EX. The only thing is I found a guy that has a motor (longblock) but I can't find anything else for the motor. I am wondering if the D15B will bolt up to the mounts, wiring harness, and transmission with no modification. If anybody can give me some info on this I would really appreciate it!

 

yeahe man . just bolt your mounts from your motor onto the d15b and it should bolt right in . but a d15b is obd1 and a y8 is obd2 so you will have to do something about that .. and yeah your tranny will bolt right up .

 

Are you sure the D15B is OBD1? Because when I was looking up things on it I found the motor with the dual stage VTEC was in an EK style civic and those being 96 and newer it would be OBD2 right? Or am I totally wrong, somebody correct me if I am.

 

the d15b single cam vtec came in a jdm 92-95 civic vti. its obd1.
if you want one go to http://www.hmotorsonline.com , they have them really cheap.

 

maybe the guy your buying it from converted his wiring to obd1.
