They are great! I am still working on my setup. I have run the CTR pistons in my B16a for about 6 months. I have recently had the valve seals replaced and also got a valve job. Working on putting it back together.

Well it won't excatly be a ctr, more like a b16a with ~11:1 CR.

more like only 10.8:1 -- unless you slap a gsr head on top of that ctr pistons equipped b16a block, then it'll come up to 11:1 CR.

one of my co-workers did a poor mans ctr swap into a CRX, pistons, cams, valve springs, retainers, and a block guard. he loves it, pulls 160 to the wheels, and revs to 9500 all day. the guy is kind of a nut, but no problems so far!

Why rev so high? Does he feel any pull after 8500?

i am building a b16 with os ctr pistons, cams, valve train... everyone i have talked to about it has said nothing but good things except im in cali with 91 octane so on really hot days i will retard the timing a few degrees

the difference is that the .25 over is a bigger piston .25mm converts to 10 thousanths over, so the cylinder wall will have to be bore out. the bigger piston give slightly more compression and also increases your displacement. when rebuilding a motor i alway get oversized pistons so i know that the cylinder is clean and true... especially on a block that is old or abused or high millage

But remember, you can only rebore so much due to the thickness of the b16 cylinder walls. Only about 1mm over standard and the block's gonna have to be resleeved or trashed; So I wouldn't rebore unless the cylinders need it.

Good point

i dont know if going that much ~40 thou over is safe but 10 thou over is ok for NA

So I wouldn't rebore unless the cylinders need it.
yes good idea, im going over cuz i never plan on doing it again if some thing does happen ill just through the block away and start all over.

also remember that the ctr pistons will not just bolt on the the b16a rods, 1mm will have to be shaved off each side of every rod
