Default ctr pistons in b16

im thinking about putting in ctr pistons
in a jdm b16a2 will i have any problems since all the other internals are stock?

and this is a newbie questions but im in california will it affect my smog?

(for all of you that are mis informed you can smog and pass with a jdm motor
in california legaly )

any and all help will be much appreciated

also looking for ctr pistons hit me up with a price
in so cal

I've done it. I added ARP rod bols though. The rods have to be machined on the small end. 1mm off each side. I am running OEm cams with them too. Everything has worked out fine. I would recomend upgrading the valvetrain while your at it.

i did it too with everything stock. i had to shave off some of the rod and a tiny bit inside the piston there is a little lip that just shaved to make it flush runs good.
