CTR pistons
I know CTR pistons are interchangeable with the B18C5 motor..but is it easier said then done...is there anything else that needs to be added or are the pistons easily swapped with no extra parts or work needed? My future plans are to have an ITR motor swapped into my 2000 coupe....and looking at Toda Spec Bs and CTR pistons..im hoping for mid to low 13sec time slips at the strip......replies anybody?

Re: CTR pistons (QWKPHKR)
If you have a B18c and use the CTR pistons with the CTR rods, you now have a 1.6 liter motor. Why would you want that? Just swap the pistons and you will be kicking a$$. You need the rings too.
If you have a B16 and swap to the CTR pistons with the B16 rods, you will not have clearence issues.
All B16s and B18s have 81mm pistons (interchangable). (CRV) B20s have 84mm pistons.

Re: CTR pistons (Jackson)
I have done a couple of searches, but have not found what the compression ratio of these pistons are in a B16 block that was not decked, stock head gasket, stock cc head, .25 over pistons. I guess the real question is how far the pistons run out of the hole, I can figure out the rest.
Thanks for your help

compression is 11:1 with ctr pistons in a b16. i can get you pics later when i get home if you want with the pistons at TDC in a b16a2 block.

Re: CTR pistons (Jackson)
I think I trust you, but I would like to do the math so that I can satisfy my obsessive complex. It is nice to see the question and the answer, but I want to see the in-between.

Re: CTR pistons (QWKPHKR)
the ctr pistons drop right in the b16....the ctr pistons first came out in the b16 block....my homie has some.....mad power...than stock b16a pistons...

Re: CTR pistons (mrctr)
need to mill the rods ~1 mm for wristpin clearance if putting CTR pistons on b16a rods (will bind otherwise).....compression ratio in b16a with stock head will rise to what has been calculated elsewhere at 10.89:1 but dep on headgasket (that is assuming stock HG).
