CRX Hood Clearance
If you are running a 88-91 CRX with an engine swap other than a b16a...for instance a ls/vtec or gsr what kind of hood are you using. I have heard that there is a problem with swapping other motors into the CRX, other than a b16a, that has to do with clearance problems. I don't want the motor to sit to low to the ground which would leave no choice but to get a taller hood...will the SIR Conversion hood give me proper clearance?

1991 CRX DX - HASport billet mounts, 1996 B18B1 Integra LS motor and 92 GSR YS1 cable tranny. I have no clearance issues with my stock hood which has not been grinded or modded in anyway and the motor isn't shimmed down either.

Re: CRX Hood Clearance (Outkast_EF8)
I am using the hasport mounts and an lsvtec. the right side of my valve cover was hitting the lining under the hood. I ripped out all the lining and had to hammer just a wee dent along one of the cross-supports ( no idea what its called ) , and now it clears just fine. I hope that helps.
