Constant Flashing code 8

When I plugged up my obd2-obd1 harness w/ my mugen p28, I get the cel flashing code 8 constantly while I'm driving--constantly, all day long (service connector is not even plugged in and it's throwing the code). Any ideas?

that's odd.

code 8 i believe is the tdc sensor. could be wrong
