Default compression ratio

if anyone knows, what is the difference in compression between the B16a2 stock pistons and CTR pistons. I know CTR are around 12:1. Does anyone know exactly. Also how much worse would CTR pistons make emission and smog levels. thanks.

b16a2 is 10.2:1 stock.

However, the CR listed is for the original engine. If you change engines, heads, etc. then the CR will change if things like deck height, gasket thickness, or cylinder head volumes change. Most likely to change might be head cc's if you are mixing and matching things.

If that is the case, find out the values and use a tool like this:

Where did you find this??? In the B16B motor PCT slugs yield a C/R of ~10.8:1... In a B18C1 still running a P72 cylinder head you'll be somewhere ~12.05:1 but you won't be anywhere close to that in a B16A block... First off you have 9.8mm's less of stroke along with PR3's combustion chamber that is 1.1cc's less than the P72... If you want the cc's of piston dome: PR3's = ~6.01cc's and PCT's = ~8.63cc's... The difference in a B16A block is only 0.6:1... From 10.2-10.8:1... Hope this helps... Peace
