Default Cold lower radiator hose?

Just did a swap. k20a. The tempeture goes up quickly. The top hose is hot but the lower hose is cold. I tried to bleed the radiator by opening the cap and turn the hot air on while car is on. One thing i notice is that the coolant doesn't even circulate at all. It just sit there. Plz help...

yep it is the thermostat. just checked it today. took out the thermo and the coolant flows.....
