code 54 and 22 HELP!
well finally got my JDM B16a in my 97 CX hatchback with a 97 gsr ecu and we narrowed the codes down to a 22 and 54. I know the 22 is a Vtec syleniod switch and this makes since seeing as though my motor does not have one? it has the place for it but it is blocked off? are all JDM motors like this? The one I am Really worried about is the 54 which is a Crank Pulley Fluctiator. I didnt see this on my motor when I was plugging the harness so I am wondering if it even has this? can you guys help me? I was wondering if these sensors are nessisary? and what would it do if I bypassed them some how?

jdm b16s don't have a vtec pressure switch, that is probably why you are throwing a code 22. you probably don't have the crank flux sensor either. you might just want to get a jdm ecu or convert it to obd 1.

we have a jdm ecu, but it doesnt work.<<<<<not the right one.>>> we are using a 97gsr ecu right now.
we are thinking of doing the obdI, but we want foshizzle-ness that it will work. we are only getting a code 54 now. we bypassed the code 22 by grounding the wire or something of that sort(we let our electrical mastermind handle all that shizznet.)

Re: code 54 and 22 HELP! (CRXSi_AutoX)
ok here is the update....
we bypassed the Vtec pressure switch so that code 22 is gone now but my motor is still running funny due to the code 54
so what I was thinking is we could ditch the GSR ECU and go back to my JDM Si ECU and connect the harnesses by using a JDMhondaparts ECU jumper (OBD2 96-98>OBD2 99-00)
this in thoery would make the engine codes go away b/c the JDM ECU would not be looking for the sensors the motor doesnt have.
I would just like some one to confirm this and see if it makes since to them or think it is a good idea.
thanks
oh and is there any other place that sells the ECU jumpers maybe for a better price?
