Default Code 41 O2 sensor help H22

JDM h22 in cx hatchback

I set up my wiring for my O2 sensor as shown by this diagram

but i am still getting a code 41, is it possible that the sensor was damaged from driving with it hooked up incorrectly? Ive had the code 41 since the wiring was done but i just now got the time to try and fix it since the semester is over.

Is there any way to test the sensor to see if its good? With a multi meter possibly? i have an A/F gauge hooked up and it just reads full rich all the time.

Yes it is possible to fry a sensor by having it hooked up wrong and running it for an extended period. I fried my ECT sensor by doing just that.

any way to test? maybe testing the two wires for the heater circut with a multi-meter to see if they have a resistance between them? And if it dosent its an open circut and broken?

ok i checked the resistance of the heater coil wires and it is 13.1 Ohms, can anyone with a good sensor check their wires and let me know what they read?

I think any OBD1 4 wire sensor from a 92-96 will work

Ok i just read that Helms said the spec on the sensor is 15-40ohms. Usually when electronics or sensors fail the tested resistance of the bad part is way higher or there is a completly open circut. But out of spec is out of spec. And mine tested at 13 ohms

I guess this means somthing is wrong with my O2 sensor heater element and i should replace it. The thing is not even a year old.

of course i guess it could have been damaged from being hooked up wrong this whole time???

Ill try a new sensor but for some reason i dont think its going to fix my problem, any other suggestions?
