Code 22 at high rpms?
I have had my h22 in my accord for about 6 months and the only cel i get is when i am in 3rd/4th gear at high rpms. I get a cel and it says code 22 which is vtec, but vtec engages fine. I have an accord tranny so it is long geared so i take a while to shift through the gears. It only happens when i am on it and shifting high. any help?
The code displaying exactly in that moment wnen VTEC must torn on?
When you last time change oil?
Try to ring thrue the wiring, if there is everything OK. And check the VTEC presure swich. This sensor must be in green color.

i have the same problem on my 94 hatch... B16a swap. after 3rd gear, my cel comes on and gives me code 22. but the difference is my vtec wont work for some reason(new solenoid and switch, oil is fine)... i think i have to make a ground wire to the D6 pinout on my ecu to fix the problem.
I had the same problem a couple months earlier, I would drive around for a while, then hit vtec and only get a 6500 rpm redline. I thought changing my oil would help and it still didn't. So I ended up taking off the vtec solenoid and cleaning it with some brake cleaner, there are two little screens that sometimes get gummed up. That ended up fixing my problem. If that doesn't fix it, the only other way is to get another solenoid.
