Default code 14 - IAC

I am getting this code on both my cars 93 civic h22 si swap running a stock p13 and my 96 civic z6 swap running a stock p28. How do I get rid of this code and stop my idle from surgeing? I have hard wired the IAC plug on the p28 at a9 and then the power wire to a yel/blk on an injector but once I do that the car stays constantly at 2500rpm. Once I unplug it just fluctuates at 1500rpm just I checked and I have no air in the cooling system (seems like I don't).

How exactly are the coolant lines ran? I have on going from the coolant pipe to the IAC then one from the IAC to the underside of the TB (which on the stock z6 TB it doesn't have a sensor but on the TB I'm using which is a 96+ TB it has the 3 pin sensor in it - I didn't plug anything into it because the p28 isn't looking for that sensor correct?) then from the underside of the TB to a manifold coolant line.

I haven't really messed with the 93 h22 one yet because it doesn't have as bad erratic idle but I want to get this surgeing fixed and get rid of the CEL.

I'd also like to add that I'm still getting a code 8 on the z6 and I think I'm going to to check the t-belt, cam gear alignment and change dist and see if that will get it. I'm not sure if that could be part of this problem or not.

The IACV is sometimes linked to other sensors as well. Make sure that you have the right plug going to the IACV in the h22 civic. Sometimes if the wiring is done incorrectly you can mistake that plug for something else and then you will always get that code.. Also check your ECT near the thermostat housing and also your fan switch. If any of those are bad you will get a 14 code at times as well..

I have both the code 8 and the code 14 now fixed.... but there still is a problem with the idle. I believe I know what it is though.

On the TB (I am using y7 TB and y7 int mani) on the z6, I dont' have the mechanical valve under the TB like the z6 TB does. It has an electronic 3 wire. Well, since I'm not using the p2e (96 dx ecm) there is nothing there to control it. Coolant just sits in the lines and isn't pumped anywhere. So.. I am going to try swapping to the z6 TB and see if that cures it. Other then that I'm good to go. No CELs

Damn it. I still got the code 8 CEL and it's here to stay. I dont' know what I did to get it to go away for that lap around the block but now I can't get it to go away and I don't know what I did to fix it.

I have did everything but a new dist or trying a new CKP/TDC/CYL sensor. I'm going to try that and see if that works.
