chipped ecu for ls/vtec
i'm using a pr3 ecu for my ls/vtec swap and i was thinking of chipping it with the mugen prog to eliminate the second o2 and the knock sensor + the better fuel maps, but i heard it runs quite rich with this prog... anybody using this prog w/similar setup? how rich does it run...will a fpr help or do i need a fuel controller? the ls/vtec i'm building is basically stock except for the addition of pr3 pistons(11.5:1) anyone done this mod theirselves?
I've chipped a few ecu's for people running LS/vtec's in their 88-91 civics.....had zero complaints reported to me. It should run fine.....but everyone should know by know that most of the Mugen programs run rich anyways. You can tune that with an electronic fuel controller such as a VAFC or SFC vtec/fuel controller ...
thanks for the info... i knew it would run rich just wondering how much of a pain in the *** would it be if i didn't have a controller for a while? also, any of your customers run nitrous w/ their chipped ecu's?

I think a few of my customers use this program with their NOS setups and i guess it works....haven't really had any complaints about it, only the running rich issue..
