Can a CRX do this:
I need some insight here. A friend of mine disagrees with me on this:
I say that a CRX (1900lbs) with a B16A and all the bolt-ons can get 14sec timeslips if he has decent traction. But a few of my friends disagree.. what do you guys think? I'm pretty sure it's been done a hundred times.. but I just wanna be sure.

I ran a 9.8 @ 72 in the 1/8th granny shifting in my CRX. You figure the quarter time would be roughly 5 seconds more so 14s are very probable. It's a B16A (crap rings), Y1 tranny, header, exhaust, ZEX FW, and ACT Xtreme Street/Strip clutch. It's a gutted 91 but it's probably closer to 2000+lbs.
I say if the crx is 1900lbs with driver than it could hit 13's. Otherwise probably low to mid 14's.
Mine does 14.8 regularly (2200 w/driver, 2050 w/o),
low 14's slightly prepared for the track (1950 w/o driver, unbolted exhaust).

BTW the kid wrecked the car, so we get to remove the B16 and install it into a 4g Civic Si HB

Well, I have a 91 EX 4 door that weighs 2550 with me in it and have run 13.98 @ 99.04 mph with b16a even with bad synchros - that was with 13x8x22 slicks though. Girl at MRI went 12.7 with an 87 CRX with STOCK b16a (weighed 1800 lbs with her IN car)...
my friend has a bone stock b16 with just intake and headers in his crx and ran a 13.9...full interior, no exhaust, street tires, and one hell of a driver
DRIVER is the key ingredient!
