Default Cams for LSVTEC

Whats everybody's input for a good set of cams for my lsvtec?

I have a chipped p72 and stock bottom end.

well what kinda head you running?? the GSR, the B16a, it just kinda depends on what you really want.... just a little more info man..

GSR cams, but you have the money get ITR cams

Edit: I guess it depends what you plan on doing with your motor.

I am going all motor as always.

I have a b16a3 head.

I was leaning towards skunk2 stage 2's.

Nah not todas, my friend has b's in his b16 and is only making 161whp!!

too true... i'm running 180whp with stock b16 cams (stock head) with an s200.

i'd get skunk2 stage2's.

bc3+ if you arent reving past 8500, hopefully you have arp rod bolts, if your planning on going to 9-9500 skunk2 stage2, m22's

Up for sale: A Pair of used Crower Stage 2 cams. Part # 63402, fits ALL Vtec B series motor. Cams are used for about 2000 miles in fully built crv-vtec motor. These cams helped me produce 243whp. Awesome cams pulls hard from 4000-9000rpm. Now my car is turbo'd, so these cams won't work for me. Upgraded valvetrain rec: from crower. Cam card included with cams

1998 B18B Block (honed, hot tanked, and thoroughly inspected)
LS Crank (balanced and micropolished)
Modified ITR Main, Rod, and Thrust Bearings

LS Rods (ARP lock bolts)
B18C5 P73 Pistons
P73 Piston Rings

B16 Head reconditioned w/new valve job,etc... stock internals
ITR Oil and Water pumps
ITR Crank pulley
LS Oil pan, windage tray, and pickup

Hondata Intake Manifold gasket
All brand new OEM gaskets and seals for top to bottom end

The block cleaned with a fresh hone, decked, and bored out .25 for oversized pistons.

As for the ECU, i went p28 Hondata s200.

Rocket M22's we've got a stock bore, LS/Vtec with Ctr Pistons, and rocket M22 cams/springs and/ret.

since then we ran 11.82 @ 112.86





this is on a pretty much stock motor... just Rocket Valvetrain and ctr pistons...

yes the motor ran a 11.97 in a gutted ef hatch with rollcage and then the motor was transplanted into a crx that was just gutted and had lexan windows

thats pretty good numbers. Thats about what I want when I go ls/v. what is the compression when you use the ctr pistons and are you running on race gas???

not sure about the comp. but it was runnign on 105 so maybe liek 12.5:1 not sure though so dont quote me...

but we did have CTR cams before and ran a 12.6 on the first pass in the EF hatch w/ the rollcage
