i think the evap code might be your evap purge solenide check the wiring on that one or even the charcol canister. also make sure youir gas cap is tight you will throw a evap code from that. also check the wiring on the o2 sensor

Re: C.E.L. need help ASAP please (all_stock)
ok thanks, its not my gas cap thats the 1st thing i checked, and how does the charcol canister look like/located? Will a o2 sensor from a 97 civic dx work on a 97 gsr motor? Also the o2 sensor didnt reach so i had to extend the wire to make it reach. Is there any other way to do this besides cutting a splicing the wires? Thanks.

I put a charcoal canister out of a civic ex in mine. It's the same thing as the one in the si. The dx one is a two way, the others are three. Don't ask me what that means, I just saw that they were different and hooked them up. The ex one I have also has a sensor located on the top of the canister, unlike the dx which doesn't have a sensor on it. As far as the o2, I used posi-lock connectors on mine to extend the wires and it works fine. I don't know if the dx is compatible with the gsr though.
