Default burning oil

I have a B18C In my civic and I have noticed that my car is burning a little oil at high RPM's. I have to add about a quart or so between oil changes and I dont know if its rings or valve seals. I did a compression test and I think it was at about 175 psi across the board if i remember right. I want to go turbo somtime withing 2 years or when ever I get the money but I dont know if I should replace the pistons and rings with lower compression now or throw in some itr pistons in now and then change when i go turbo. Let me know what you think. thanks in advance.

Default Re: burning oil (95hybridcivic)

When I bought my B18C1 I was told it had 35.000 miles what a joke.

I bought it anyway, and I'm having the same probs as you man. So Im taking the engine out this memorial day weekend and gonna rebuild it in the next month.

I noticed oil loss too. I would have to pour the same amount as you, I once took it for a day trip 60 miles and by the time I got back I needed to dump another quart. I was going about 100mph on this trip every now and then.

The engine still runs strong but I'm losing the oil somewhere??? Its not accumulating on the ground like it would be if the engine were leaking.
