broken Bell housing what can I do?
I went clubbing last night and I bottomed out pretty bad a few times on this **** *** road the club was on. I thought nothing of it till I noticed a strange noise coming from the front of the car. So I wake up this morning to take a look at the damage I couldnt believe what I saw. I have a hole about 6"x4" on the bell housing and my header has been crushed in about 1/2". The flywheel and cluch are totally exposed and I think I slightly bent the fly wheel. Other than buying a new bellhousing or trans what can I do? I'll have pics up in a little while.
here are a few pics

I have a couple of extra H-series transmissions laying around here.... all are "empty" as no gears, shafts, or diff is them - we used them as templates for fitment testing. I'll have to see how the casing looks but if it looks fine, you can take it..... just PM me for more details.

Damn, my exhaust and header looked slightly lower and I never had any problems like that (but then I never bottomed out hard either). The welds are very shitty but who ever looks under my car (plus I painted it all black so it was cleaner). But point being that I never had a problem except for low dips on driveways... then the header would hit unless I went slow and sideways.
Fastwanabe - check your email... I sent you something back.

yeah I check the PM thanks anyway . I think what I'm gonna do is take some sheetmetal to it and poprivet it in place. Then I will either get the Image Engineering header or just cut out the bent part and weld in some new metal from another downpipe from my b16.
