Default BLOCK GUARD GOOD OR BAD?

I HAVE A B20 VTEC AND BEFORE I PUT THE HEAD I WANT TO KNOW THAT IF PUTTING A BLOCK GUARD WILL HELP OR AT THE SAME TIME MESS UP MY ENGINE. I HAVE HEARD FROM MANY PEOPLE THAT IF YOU PUT ONE ON YOU HAVE A HIGHER CHANCE OF OVER HEATING YOUR CAR BECAUSE WHERE THE BLOCK GUARD GOES THAT IS WERE THE COOLANT GOES AS WELL SURE IT WILL PROTECT A LIL MORE YOUR SLEEVES BUT IS IT WORTH SPENDING THE EXTRA 100 DOLLAS FOR THE EAGLE ONE?

Yes ah No ah Yes.At least a billion post in the archives on this. One thing that I have no question about is they distort the tops of the cylinders. If the block isn't honed round again after installing you will lose power if not seize a piston. My advice is stay away.
