Hi I'm new here we'll here is my question I got a vx eg hatch swapped wit a h23 blue top b16 tranny h2b qsd kit. And my buddy is trading me his k24a4 5spd tranny with mounts and eveything for my eg. Should I do the trade? I search n seen that it only has 160hp that's very low for a very heavy motor.. N also seem ppls swap out heads too.. Soo what y'all think should I trade n go k series instead of h2b?????

neither is better. h2bs & k swaps are both cool. Both are pretty custom and lots of work. Most people wouldn't swap in a stock k24a4 because its not a high performance engine. Although its got huge potential. But in stock form not really. The k24a2 or k20A or other true vtec engines are the ones to get.

I like the h2b because it kind of keeps the car true to the original design. Plus it drives great. It has issues like hood and oil pan fitment, frame rail fitment, and the rear block area which needs to be rather butchered to get the axle to clear. This imo is the major drawback of the h2b. But it will work and not leak.

K swaps have less of these troubles. But theyre expensive to do nicely. And if you ask me, they're just not quite as fun as an h2b. At least for a street car.
