Re: best swap for my 93 del sol si (Almai)
if your not wanting to re-wire stick to a obd1 swap, so you'd be better off with the gsr. I could be mistaken but I believe all type r's are obd2. please flame me if i'm wrong. the search option is your friend. do lots of research before you jump into a swap otherwise you'll probably wind up throwing away lots money and time.

wiring shouldnt be an issue either. vtec is only a couple wires if you dont got it already...

I have a JDM GSR in my Sol. The car runs very strong for it being the stock motor. I also have a friend with an H22 in his Del Sol the car has wicked torque he only has an intake, exhaust, and flywheel. He is projected to run high 13's if he can hook-up. But the swap was kind of expensive because a lot of things had to be customized. As well I have a frind that has a B16a in one which as well runs strong.
As far as wiring I believe that the si has v-tec which is which you shouldn't have to do very much to the the harness. "don't quote me on that though, this is as far as I know and from what I've heard"
Make sure that it is obd1.
Good Luck when you do get the swap!

The del sol si has the sohc vtec, correct?
If you want a swap with absolutely zero wiring:
Get a itr swap, plug it in(using the itr engine harness), get your stock p28 ecu chipped and then plug it in.
That's all.
Even if you decide on a gsr, your car is wired for vtec, so you will only need to add to wires.
One wire for Intake Air Bypass
One wire for Knock Sensor.
And if you use the gsr engine harness, you only need to run the wires from the clips on your passanger side shock tower, down to the ecu. Very simple.

Re: best swap for my 93 del sol si (Slopoke)
is money an issue?
My dream swap is a K24 from a TSX with JDM ITR tranny. But like i said money is an issue for me.
A Fairly easy swap is pretty much any OBD-1 B-Series swap, just depends what you want and how much you want to spend

The integras engine harness is set up just like yours and will plug in.
Your speedo will work(as long as your VSS is hooked up).
