before i decide on a b16 swap...
ok, im looking at spending around 2600 for a b16 from hmotors, and a few bolt ons....
i.e.
2600 b16
150 shift linkage (going into a sol)
200 chipped ecu
300 replace clutch
250 itr 4-1 header
thats 3600 to have it in and running... minimum. i realize some prices are higher, but i'll wind up spending the difference on misc doo-dads.
now, before i dump this money.. is there any setup that will be just as relialbe, and give me more power for the money?
such as:
a mini-me.
a semi-built b20 (although it may be expensive because i need to pay for the seperate trans)
a semi-built ls
etc.
i tried a search, but its difficult to find a setup with a similar budget... and hard to figure power when you start subtracting mods from a dyno sheet someone posted.
oh, and i'd like to avoid the whole d-series turbo thing.
thanks to anyone who can provide some ideas and insight.
