Default balance shaft belt broke!

So, driving down the highway yesterday I heard a weird noise then wouldn't accelerate so I immediately shut the car off and rolled to a stop. When I got the car home I found the balance shaft belt was shredded in a million pieces, thought the timing belt was still intact. I read that u can run the engine without the belt, so I removed all the piieces of the belt, put it back together n started it.......it starts, but runs like its only using 2 cylinders? Anyone have any ideas on wut could be the problem? Any help would be awesome!!!

PS the motor is a JDM h22
