b20vtec into a del sol
like the title says, i am putting a b20 into a del sol
i was just wondering if i would run into any problems (ie - mounts)
i was told that it will just go right in and match up pretty well
i was also wondering about the wiring and if that would all match up
thanks for the help in advance

Re: b20vtec into a del sol (SOLvtec)
what year del sol? did it come with the b16 swap factory?
if it's a b-series in the del sol then the mounts will work on your b20
but if the del sol came with the d-series engine then you will need all the proper b-series mounts.
Wiring will not be a problem

Re: b20vtec into a del sol (SOLvtec)
hi i have a sol, and was thinking about doing a b20 block with my b16 head... um
as your know the CRV wasnt exactly built for power.. or speed..
it is not very strong, so taking the precautions and makin git stronger to withstand future mods.. turbo.ect.. would be my advice.. and although this sounds cool..
with the money you will spend DOING IT RIGHT you might be better off with a gsr, or H they were built to handle stress.. just some thoughts from a fellower soler

FYI..B20 engines have weak sleeves but when going turbo. Staying with a 180-240whp setup the stock sleeves will do just fine
yea but for the price of the GSR/ITR swap, he can take the B20, buy the vtec head, golden eagle conversion kit, new high compression pistons, lumpy cams, valve springs/retainers, transmission and a method of tunning.
Once he has all that, he will be making more HP and definetly much more TQ then a GSR/ITR engine so it would be money's worth.

came with d16z6
and i believe that you only have to buy one of the mounts
i think it is one of the trans mounts..
thanks for the help

one of the mounts? your wrong
you will need to buy the following from a 94+ teg:
-driver side engine bracket
-rear subframe bracked
the factory D-series ones will not work
