b20vtec; Alternator and throttle cable PROBLEMS!!!!
Hey you guys i've just recently swap in a b20vtec into my 96 civichatch back and everything is running fine except that I have 2 problems...
PROBLEM #1
SOLVED!

PROBLEM #2
when i first start up the car and give it some gas when its in neutral....the rpm raise by it self from 1000-3000 then everything after that i can rev on my own....but when it decelerates it stop's at 1500 n bogs from 1500-1700 back n' forth. The only way i can get it to idle back right is to put my foot under the pettle to decellerate it, I've also tried maybe different times to adjust the throttle cable but that doesnt seem to work and doesnt look like its gettin stuck on anything....any ideas!?!?!
AFTER REPLACING THE THROTTLE BODY AND ADDING A NEW GASKET!

i dont seem to get any gas newhere before 1500rpm now? the only way for me to get my rpm to raise is to fool it! but when i do that it takes a couple sec than slowly climbs to 1500 ....but everything 1500rpm n beyond i get full throttle and can rev to whatever i want. STRANGE!

1
alt belt too loose.... bad "hot wire ground" (the 10mm on the alternator).... check the ground on the engine harness. are you using oem parts?
2
low coolant level.... bad harness ground.... need to burp the coolant system... clouged iac valve (you can remove it and clean it)

Problem 1....I was thinking it could be the hot wire as well...yea im using oem parts...well the only after market things im using is headers, intake...n intake manifold if that makes a diff?

Re: b20vtec; Alternator and throttle cable PROBLEMS!!!! (ninjaek20)
im sure you already checked but the alternator problem could just be the alternator fuse.
at some time you could have had the hot wire disconnected from the alternator and touched it to the block/frame with the battery still connected.
i've done it.

yea i've check'd the fuse...still good! but i'll double check all my main grounds n hot wire...n see what happens

problem 1: check the grounds, alternator belt, starter, anything thats connected to the battery.. fuses..
problem 2: the wire harness on the ecu it might be wired wrong, its dumping too much fuel, adjust the screw on the throttle body (open/close)..
good luck..

well ya guys i've just replace the throttle body it self n got a new gasket n check'd all the hose's to make sure they are connected correctly and they are....now my rpm doesnt bog at 1500 anymore! NOW what its doing is its not letting me get any gas/throttle before 1500 unless i floor it and then my rpm slowly begin to raise after a couple sec....WTF is up w/ that? haha any idea's...
