Default B20B rod ratios

OK, I have been hearing that when some people do a B20VTEC that they change out the CRV crank for a B17 crank...I know it will work but don't you lose torque(the whole reason to go B20) with the shorter stroke???

Using the stock bore of 84mm:

The B17a crank in the B20b block gives you: 1804 cc's.

cheers,

yes you lose torque, by having the higher rs ratio setup, but it would more conducive to high revving (to tap the vtec potential). Kind of a compromise i guess, between the two mutually exclusive setups. You'd have to get custome length rods tho, and the crank itself is like a grand. It talks about it on crvtec.com
