B20b head on b18b block
I was planning on poping a b20b head on b18b block. Everything should be the same right? Just wanted to double check that an LS head part will fit the b20 head.

The head is actually a different part number. But I am not sure what the differences are. In any case, it will work. But keep in mind that the cams are different. They don;t seem to be as aggressive as B18B cams.

I had heard of people using LS cams in b20? Does this not really work? Anyone know? I had heard all b18b head internals fit b20 head.

Hey, It's SonOFTOO, from the resource... are they different part numbers because the b18 is technically an "ACURA" motor, while the B20 is a "HONDA" motor. I specify this because niether is swapped over from one to the other, and I thought (everyone says) that the heads are IDENTICAL...I mean they look identical...Oh, and specs on cams? I have heard again that those are the same. 99+? cams being more aggressive in the B18? any specs part numbers on these? Take it easy Matt, see you around...

Yeha the b20 intake manifold is too big to fit under the hood of an eg. Swap it for an LS manifold or a skunk2

Re: B20b head on b18b block (DevinW)
Yeah the intake manifold won't fit under any hood here but CR-V. I was just wondering how well these would work. I already have the b20 head form my under construction B20/vtec project. I was thinking about buying a LS short block and putting the B20 head on it. I was just wondering about pistion clearance, and it I could use things such a aftermarket LS camshafts, gears, valves, etc on my b20b head, I just didn't know how much they were alike, or if they we exact as some people said.

i believe they are the same, b/c i have heard of people putting the LS head on the b20 block. i don't know how true it is, but i read that the LS head is actually better. so your theory about the cams being different might be right.

i bought a b20 throttle body from a guy who had a b20 and b18 head, sitting in his garage. i visually compared the two and noticed 2 differences. oil hole size on the b20 is bigger. also dowel pins (locating pin) were at different positions but same locations.

Re: B20b head on b18b block (LS-G)
My main thing is to find out what LS aftermarket can I use in the b20b head. Cams, Valve train, etc. I fit the head to the block and its perfect.
