Re: b18b head on b20b block
You are wrong. The b18b cams are the best of the 4 non vtec cams, and the b20z has bigger (vtec sized) intake valves. It is the best non vtec head. Im not positive if all b20z heads are like that though. You're best OE setup, from what ive heard, is b18b cams in a b20z head, on a b20z bottom end.

Find a P8R head for your b20b. Or go here and peep this info https://honda-tech.com/forums/all-motor-naturally-aspirated-44/b20-non-vtec-faq-guide-including-p8r-head-information-1467903/

I really don't have the money to be changing head or block right now, just got into honda so Im learning as I go although I know part trading is easier with them. I just dont have a lot of choices around where I live.

Just save your money and keep it stock for now. You won't gain a lot from swapping parts without tuning.
GSR or B20Z would be my choice if you're staying B series, or get an H2B kit and drop an H22 in.

Re: b18b head on b20b block
Well my block is a b20b and my head are b18. All I have is a leaking cam seal but I bought a complete gasket kit and gonna replace everything. The motor I have has alot of aftermarket parts on it. Its a 97 CR-V. My body is a 95 civic ex.
