I have heard it was a balancing hole the wasn't centered when it was drilled.

As long as the crank and rod journals are clean I think it will be fine. You might want to see if it's cracked down farther, magnaflux. Also, clean the break so that it'll stop from craking in the future by rounding it out. Talk to a local machinist for their thoughts too.

maybe you should just go to honda and tell them that your crank was like that and they should replace it. that is a manufacturer's defect and shouldn't be like that. there is no sense in playing with faulty equipment. there won't be anything good coming out of that if it decides to break inside your block.

o would never run that in my car there is no crazy problems you will have other than it being off balance and the crank acually breaking. man ls/crv cranks from honda are 900 new so find one used or scream at acura/honda.

Are you just straight B20? Or B20VTEC?

Have you considered a B20A crank?

Thats normal. Lots of cranks like that.

Won't affect reliability at all...unless stock CRv's from the dealer are unreliable?

its normal...dont worry.

Good question though...
