b20 bottom end with a b16 head,,,, which arp studs would you use??? b18a or gsr, or b16....i want to know!

I just recently built a b20/vtec ....used gsr arp head studs....workd great....

and i was told they are the ones to use

they do have ones specific for ls/vtec b20/vtec but they didn't have in stock....but gsr is basically the same

 

I recently built one and used the B16 bolts that came out of the B16 when I split the block from hte head. Works fine, as suggested by a couple of people who have been running this way for quite a few months.

 

do not use b16 head bolts on anything but a b16, its not worth the risk of stripping the threads out of the block
