B20 VTEC Help!
I purchased A 1990 CRX with the B20 Vtec swap. I drove the car for two days, then one day I decided to go for a little cruise. I hopped in the car and the car just continuously turns over with no spark throwing CEL 15 Ignition Output Signal. I tried a different distributer and still nothing, Im getting power to it though.
I also tried relays, Checked ecu, And checked all the grounds. The car is currently at another Honda Tech members garage being worked on. I figured I would make a post for further help.
I wanna also throw out there the the wiring throughout the car is a mess! Any suggestions? Would be highly appreciated! Thanks again guys!
I understand this could be in the wrong thread. But I wasnt getting any further information in Element/Crv. Even though it is a b20 engine. It is a 90 CRX.

I was just told that! Would my key easily pulling out of ignition on 2nd turn be a causing problem too?
And im sorry about the wrong thread again. I was getting any further information in any of the correct all motor/ Crv/ Element threads. Thanks though guys!

code 15 has nothing to do with the ignition switch. it indicates a problem between the ecu, ignitor and coil.
code 15 in my experience has been a bad coil or bad ignitor, or a bad wire.

and a very minimal search yields this...

v4lu3s Just get off the thread please. I dont have time for the ''use the search BS' cause i did plenty of times. Also if you could use your eyes to read, I explained how I replaced the whole distributer and Internals of it. The wiring to the distibuter is fine. Its the other wiring that was messed up that was replaced. I guess this is what i get for buying Honda junk.
Anybody above this guy that has proceeded to help me, I thank you very much. Im not able to switch out igniton switches tonight but I will first thing tomorrow!

Also if you follow the steps on your chart it says to check Igniton Switch...

as far as code 15 goes:
It is an indication of the ignition output signal from the ecu. Read a factory service manual it will tell you the same.
Testing for a code 15 involves first pulling the 2 wire plug off the distributor and checking for +12 between the black/yellow and body ground while ignition is on, if none then the black/yellow wire is bad.
then you test battery voltage between b15 and a18, then b17 and a18. you should have +12v on each of those. if there is not +12v your igniter is bad or you have a short on those wires.
if all those pass, then you replace the ecu.
and finally i will tell you to kiss my ***. you were being given wrong information about ignition switches, it is obvious you are in over your head and I gave you good information, and despite you being a douche bag i went ahead and gave you info direction from my service manual. if you cannot figure it out now then there is no hope for you.
i linked that because it gives ALL the steps that cover the ignition.

You are the one that got butt hurt because you are a retard who is too stupid to know how to open a factory service manual, or download one, and go to emission trouble shooting code 15. I spoon fed you and you spit it back.
Pretty sure we did everything including your device Manuals a while back and still nothing and no I'm not a retard.
