Default b20 vtec head studs

i read somewhere that you can use all the b20 head studs except for 2 when putting on a vtec head

is this true? and if so which ones need to be gsr/itr studs. cause if i can do that ill go to acura and buy 2 new gsr studs. if not i guess i might as well buy arp since they are about the same price as oem studs

The 2 center bolts are longer for the b20 head(1 on intake and 1 on exaust side, center) I would recommend using the ARP studs since you are building a b20 vtec. Why half *** it? If you insist on reusing the b20 BOLTS just get 2 GSR bolts.

i looked up the sizes and the shorter b20 bolts are 11x158 and the gsr head studs are 11x164
maybe its just from the washer area down there more/less threads

anyone actually use b20 and gsr bolts and it work fine?

as long as my head seals i dont care what studs im using.. my compression isnt very high and i dont plan on running the engine for very long until i rebuild it for boost.
id rather not buy arp now and again cause i wouldnt want to reuse them
