Default b20/vtec ctr

can you use a B20 block with CTR internals and cyl head? I'm worried that the rods might be to long and the copression ratio would be too high (12.5-1 +)?

I think he was assuming the rod and crank in b series are all the same, but from a hondfa newbie like me I think they are different some how.

You can use the b18 or the b16 head. Pistons are none compatable.

thank you for the info i have a b16b in the car already so now i'm just deciding where to go from here. i'd like to stay all motor but i know ls/b20 blocks can't handle upwards of 8500rpm, so maybe a ITR block and ITR internals?

you do realize your b16b is a destroked itr engine? throw in an itr crank, rods, and pistons and you basically have a stock b18c5.
