b18c5 into 90 crx si...what parts do i need?
ok...i'm going to drop in a b18c5 motor into my ef (I can get 'em cheap) and I was wondering what parts other than motor mount do i need? I mean which axle and shift linkage and all other stuff i missed...all help are appreciate!
p.s - i will be doing jdm ef8 conversion so the clearance shouldn't be a problem.

ok you can use the engine but you will need a cable tranny from a first gen b16a...get one with LSD.....you will need a mount kit.....try hasport....you have to use your crx wire harness and add the vtec, oil pressure, knock sensor wires....oh and you need to use the first gen b16a distributor and ECU....get the ECU chipped to match type R specs or better....you can modify a 90-93 integra shift linkage by cutting and rewelding it or buy one that is already modified....you can use 90-93 integra axles and intermediate shaft....i think thats it...by the way how about hooking a brotha up with a b18c5 at cost...

uh...why would i change my tranny to cable? I can use my b18c5 tranny just fine. As for motor..$5300 shipped to your door.

I think the question is, why would you change to a hydro tranny? All 88-91 Civic/CRX came with a cable clutch. Unless you convert the car to hydro clutch pedal and lines you need a cable tranny.

b18c5 = integra type-r. they offer in both japan (200) and the us (195). I'm importing 'em from Japan (of course)

Cable trannies are way cheaper than hydros. Sell the ITR transmission for $1100 and buy a YS1 tranny and throw a Kaaz LSD in there. Same gear ratios, no messing with converting it and you'll have a way better LSD.

PPL are saying you are legit, but I'd want to be sure before I bought a motor from ya..

Actually, JDM ITR's are stamped B18C not B18C5. So if you are selling B18C5's it's not a JDM motor. I wouldn't be surprised if it was a stolen USDM motor though. Give us some VINs of the motors you have.

How can you import B18C5's from Japan? Do they ship the engines from the US back to Japan and then back to you? B18C5's don't exist in Japan. Type R engines say B18C on the block, that's it.

argh...let me correct myself once again...
"I import JDM INTEGRA TYPE-R SWAP". How we get into this discuss of you guys accusing me selling usdm or stolen motors? I know what I sell and the top of the thread has nothing to do w/ me selling 'em. Sorry if I sound rude but I don't feel like explaining to something pointless.
