Re: obd what?
nooo look on the left side of the block next to where the tranny and block meet. there should be a stamp there that says B18C1, B18C, B18C5, or B17. the B17 is obd1 all the others are obd2

Re: obd what?
since everything seems to be obd1 i would get a p28 or p30 and have it chipped and tuned for your motor. sell the p72 for the money to get the new ecu.... or keep it for later. your choice

Re: obd what?
Why are you even going to ask a question if everytime you get an answer your going to follow it with "are you sure?" Damn I wish people would do a search, you have a search function on this forum..there is also google. Damn I hate lazy people.
Most people including myself know what OBD the engine is BEFORE they buy it so they can already know what course of action they are going to take with the wiring. Damn bro.

Re: obd what?
Just because the dizzy is an obd1 doesn't mean its an obd1 motor. The dizzy is not the best way to determine the year. Someone may have used an obd1 dizzy before so they wouldn't have to convert the plug. GSR's have the year stamped on the head and if the VIN is still intact you can figure out the year and body style the motor came from.
