Hello,

I have a 2000 civic ex coupe. I am interested in a b18c swap. I heard that a number of people out there have done this swap along with the automatic tranny conversion to a manuel. I hope to do this swap before I move back to Hawaii.

When back home, I will be the one to fix the car if it is broken. I was wondering how these change will affect the reliability of the car, as I will be using it as a daily driver. Also, what are some potential problem that I should be looking for.

Any input will help.

the reliability shouldn't be affected if you do it correctly. You will need to get a new passenger side tranny mount, from place racing or hcp just start searching. I have done this to two cars, and haven't had a problem. You may have to get a little creative with mounting the shifter on the floor. The wiring changes may be tricky if your not familiar with wiring. Just search, its been covered many times before

shouldn't be any less reliable if the swap is done right.

I am doing the same swap into my 97 civic auto, but good luck on finding an obd2 gsr swap, because I have been waiting and waiting to find one.

hmotors don't have any currently, and they dont' know when they will be getting any. hafta call weekly to check.
