Default b18c in 94 Civic ecu question

Hey guys, I've been looking everywhere for some info on this, so I thought I'd ask.
I have a 1994 Civic Coupe, I'm putting in a JDM b18c engine. I have everything and I'm starting the swap over my christmas break.

Will I have to use my mugen chipped p28 ECU since my car is OBD-1? The P73 ECU is ODB-2B. Will the p28 ECU work with the ITR engine? I've been running a JDM SiR-II B16a Engine with it and it has been fine, but the engine is obd-1 as well.

Any help is appreciated.

Also the car is a DX, so it does not have vtec in it already, but I have an idea of what needs to be wired up. I'm just curious about the ECUs. I know the vtec pressure switch and solenoid need to be wired up, but I'm not sure what else. My dad is good friends with Tyrone at http://www.tybrid.com so if I cannot get information here, I'm sure I can ask him. I'm more of a do-it-yourself kind of person.

Using a reprogrammed P28 is highly suggested when using an ITR engine in an OBD1 vehicle, such as your setup. You can use the ITR ecu if you want, but you'll need purchase an OBD1->OBD2a jumper harness converter (which I sell, heh).

As for wiring your DX for VTEC, you can follow the info on my OBD1 wiring diagram here:

PS: I'm a little confused on what exact engine you have. Do you have a JDM ITR engine or a JDM GSR engine, cuz both have a "B18C" engine stamp. I'm assuming you have an ITR engine because you say you have a P73 ecu which is an ITR ecu. Just wanna get some clarification on that..
