b18b obd2 swap into 96 ek question
I am have trouble finding the complete list of wiring and connector changes I have to do. I have a 96 ls ecu, 98 engine, and a 99 gsr tranny. I was told to use my original harness but I need to change a few connectors. Any help would be great. Thank you.

Re: b18b obd2 swap into 96 ek question (subliminaltrance)
you sound like you're on the right track with the parts you have gathered so far.
you can reuse your EK harness and modify it accordingly.
If you own a 5spd EX model, then you don't have to do any wiring mods to it.
I'm assuming you own a non-vtec EK civic.
So you will have to do the following:
- perform the IACV mod
- extend the 2nd 02 wiring
- possibly extend the IAT wiring
You can read about the IACV mod here:

and here

You might want to also perform the CKF trick explained here:
http://technet.ff-squad.com/ckftrick.htm
..or you can just swap out civic 3-pin CKF sensor plug for that of a 96-00 US integra 2-pin CKF connector (if you happen to have the B18B engine harness).
btw, you own an OBD2a civic.
That should be about it.

Re: b18b obd2 swap into 96 ek question (Katman)
The car is a 96 dx hb. I do have most of the harness from the integra so I can use it. It doesn't matter that its a jdm engine does it ? Thank you so much for your help!

Re: b18b obd2 swap into 96 ek question (subliminaltrance)
i forgot to mention that you cannot use the integra engine harness as a whole in a 96-00 civic at all. You HAVE to reuse your existing DX harness and modify it as mentioned above.
Only thing the integra harness is good for is spare plugs and wiring. And the reason you can't use the integra harness is because its a 2-piece design whereas all 96-00 civics have a 1-piece design harness (runs from teh engine bay into the cabin). 92-01 integra engine harnesses break away at the passengerside shock tower.
