Default B18B INTO A VX HATCH WIRING QUESTION ***SEARCHED****

i dropped in a USDM 1994 integra ls engine into my vx hatch, i was wondering do i need to use my old vx harness? i looked at the harness that is on the engine and it does not have a female plug on the passenger side where there is a male plug coming out of my car harness. right now everything is hooked up with the ls harness and the engine turns over. i also have fuel and coolant going through the engine, but it will not start. could this be related to the missing plug on the ls harness?
thanks for the help

Yes that is probably why your car wont start. Anytime an engine swap is done, it is always important to make sure you use the harness that came with the original engine for the car. There is no need to use the harness that comes with the motor that you are swapping in, it just further complicates things. Now, sometimes when you use your original harness on your new motor you will have to lengthen and change certain sensor plugs. Most of the time you can just unwrap the factory wiring loom to get the length you need to reach a certain sensor. When changing a plug, most of the time you can de-pin it and put the pins into the new or different plug. Just make sure you have the locations for the pins correct. Worst case with using the original engine harness is you will have to cut a plug off and lengthen it. And thats very simple. So I would put your original engine harness on your new motor and all of your problems should be solved.

Im using my stock VX harness with my swap. Its fine. There are minor differences like extending o2, IAT possibly, repinning o2 for a 4 wire conversion.

I DONT KNOW HOW MANY TIMES I HAVE TO EXPLAIN THIS, USE YOUR STOCK HARNESS WHEN DOING A SWAP
And modify the existing wires that need to be lengthened, de-pinned.
