Default b18b on a ek

i have a 98 civic and i plan to swap a b18b but my question how can i make this swap pass smog here in cali?

i guy at work told me that i would need ckf sensor and a usdm ecu for the b18b just wondering if it was true or not

You will need it to pass OBD2 specs.

You need these existing item from you current engine:
1) Rear O2 cat sensor
2) Larger OBD2 purge valve

Also the Crankshaft Fluctuation Sensor (CKF) is needed too.
You have to change the oil pump to an OBD2A b-series to use the CKF sensor along with lower timing belt gear.


As for the ecu, you need a OBD2A LS ECU.
