Default B18A1 Swap Into A 89 Dx hb ((((((((((( NEED HELP!!))))))))))))



Ok so I bought A 1989 Civic Dx With a 90-93 LS Fulls Swap motor. This is my first B series swap i have done so it a B#%Ch! I quess it happens when you do a swap. So i bought 1991 Si Interior and engine harness. My friend Riged the wire clip for the gas tank cuz i forgot to get the SI gas tank clip. The Gauge cluster dosent turn on when i turn the ignition to the on position. Theres a Sensor its a little black box thats by the hood Reales makes a noise when i have the ignetion on happens randomly. So im stuck And theres Is No spark Or Fuel going into the motor when i crank it ????? HELP!

Shift linkage dosent fit found that out guees i have to cut it cuz its to long and weld it.

So you are using both the Si cabin and engine harnesses? If so and you have everything wired up properly, you're car is basically now fully MPFI wired. You might have overlooked some grounds, plugs, fuel pump relay could be bad, etc. Go back over everything and make sure that all of the connections are going to the right places and they are securely connected.
About the shift linkage, the only one that will fit properly is an aftermarket one matched to the same company of mount kit you are using. Since you have the 90-93 linkage and know that it's too long, you can remove a section and weld it. If done right it will work no problem.

the black box under the dash that you hear clicking should be the main PGM-FI relay. i've seen this happen when the ECU doesn't have a good ground. the ground wire is bolted to the thermostat housing. check and make sure the bolt is tight and that the wire end is not corroded.

So i hooked everything up ecu kept blenking when i turned key to on position. so i switched the relay on inside of the car and switched my ecu ecu light satys on ???
