Default b18a1 in a 96 hatch searched

im hoping to put in my b18a1 in my 96 civic hatchback
and im hoping somone would be able to help me im not sure what im supposed to use wiring wise
what wiring harness and what ecu do i use?

yes i know . all about that but i have this just laying around and so im wondering if its any use to me smog/ bar isnt a issue for me right now i just wanna know if i can get it running in my car and what ecu/harness to use thanks

since your car is obd2 and that motor is obd1, u will have to get an obd jumper http://www.boomslang.us/obd2to1.htm , it can be done, b18s kick ***, just got one in the sol and i catch rubber into 3rd on all stock motor...

the motors a 91 and thats obd0 .
would it be okay if i just ran the obd0 harness / ecu because i dont care about smog?

Just use your stock harness and extend the wires. Get some obd2 injectors and distributors. you have the use the 99 si block mount and rear engine mount bracket. it's pretty simple. Just pm me if you have any questions. The reason why you can't use the obd0 harness is because the 96+ use a single harness instead of a two piece design. I hohpe it make sense.
